Moet & Chandon Rosé Imperial Champagne is crafted from a blend of 40-50% Pinot Noir, 30-40% Meunier, and 10-20% Chardonnay, with 20-30% reserve wines to enhance its intensity, subtlety, and consistency. The production process involves whole-bunch pressing of the grapes to obtain clear juice, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The wine undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle, creating fine bubbles, and is aged for at least 21 months on the lees before disgorgement. Residual sugar: 7g/l. Bottled at 12.5%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: A lively and intense bouquet of red fruits such as wild strawberry, raspberry, and cherry, with floral nuances of rose and a slight hint of pepper.
Palate: Expressive, combining the juicy and persistent intensity of berries with the fleshiness and firmness of peach, and a subtle note of menthol.
Finish: A peppery and minty note.
The Moët & Chandon Champagne House was founded in 1743 by Claude Moët, a visionary wine merchant, who quickly made it a name among the European courts. A few years later, his grandson, Jean-Rémy Moët, developed the house's international reputation. Owned by the LVMH group since 1987, the house produces unique vintages from a meticulous selection of Champagne terroirs that are renowned worldwide for their quality and appealing character.
