Glenfiddich was founded in 1886 by Willian Grant in Dufftown, Scotland. The distillery is located in the glen of the river Fiddich, which together means "Valley of the Deer" and explains the choice of the stag as their logo. Glenfiddich is currently managed by the fifth generation of William Grant's descendants.
Glenfiddich is a global brand and the most sold single malt in the world. Available in over 180 countries and accounting for nearly 35% of single malt sales. Glenfiddich was the first distillery to open a visitor's centre, the first to advertise their whisky as single malt outside of Scotland, and the first single malt Scotch to reach 1 million cases (12 million bottles) sold in a single year.
