DESCRIPTION

A red blend from Visio Vintners in Stellenbosch, a collaboration between Kleine Zalze Wines and the Kleine Zalze Empowerment Trust, made by winemaker RJ Botha. The 2022 vintage is 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc and 8% Shiraz from Stellenbosch vineyards, fermented as whole berries in stainless-steel tanks and open-top fermenters. The free-run wine was then matured for 15 months in second- and third-fill 300-litre French oak barrels. Awarded Gold at the 2026 Decanter World Wine Awards. Bottled at 14.5%. (Bottle size 750ml)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Intense aromas of ripe blackberries, dark plums and cassis, complemented by warm baking spices, subtle tobacco and hints of oak.

Palate: Rich and full-bodied, delivering concentrated blackcurrant, dark berries and dark chocolate. Plush, well-integrated tannins provide structure, balanced by gentle spice and elegant oak.

Finish: Long, dry and lingering, with persistent dark fruit, cocoa, subtle tobacco and refined tannins.
