DESCRIPTION

The Noble Hill Estate Reserve 2022 is the flagship Bordeaux-style blend from Noble Hill Wine Estate on the slopes of the Simonsberg in Paarl, South Africa. Produced exclusively from organically farmed estate vineyards, the 2022 vintage is a blend of 49% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot, reflecting the diversity of the estate's granite soils and Mediterranean climate. Each component is hand-sorted, begins fermentation in tank before completing fermentation in 225-litre French oak barrels, and only the finest free-run juice is selected for the final blend. The wine was matured for 18 months in French oak before bottling. Bottled at 13.5% ABV.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Lifted aromas of fresh blackcurrant, ripe plum and dark cherry are complemented by subtle notes of Moroccan mint, cedar, graphite and beautifully integrated oak.

Palate: Elegant and beautifully structured, with concentrated black fruit, cassis and plum layered over silky tannins and vibrant natural acidity. The Merlot provides generosity and plushness, while Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot contribute depth, freshness and refined structure.

Finish: Long, polished and persistent, with lingering black fruit, subtle spice and mineral freshness.
