DESCRIPTION

The Saltare Brut Rosé is a boutique Méthode Cap Classique crafted by Carla Pauw under the Saltare label in Stellenbosch, South Africa. Produced from 100% single-vineyard Pinot Noir, the wine undergoes traditional bottle fermentation and is matured for 18 months on the lees to develop complexity while retaining exceptional freshness and finesse. Pale salmon in colour, this elegant Cap Classique showcases the purity of Pinot Noir with a refined mineral character, fine sherbet-like mousse and beautifully integrated fruit. Bottled at 12% ABV.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Fresh aromas of raspberry, redcurrant and cherry are complemented by hints of pomegranate, crisp red apple and delicate floral notes.

Palate: Elegant and dry, with vibrant flavours of red berries, mineral red apple and pomegranate supported by a fine, sherbet-like mousse. Bright acidity and excellent balance lead into subtle brioche complexity from extended lees ageing.

Finish: Long, crisp and beautifully refined, with lingering strawberry, almond and delicate brioche notes carried by a clean mineral finish.
