Highland Park 18 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky from Orkney, matured primarily in first-fill sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks, with a small proportion of refill casks to develop depth and balance. Richer and more complex than the younger expressions, it combines dried fruit, warming spice and the distillery's signature heathery peat smoke. Bottled at 43% ABV. Natural colour.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Dried apricots, dark honey, orange peel, nutmeg, toasted oak and gentle peat smoke.
Palate: Rich fruitcake, honey, dark chocolate, cinnamon, citrus zest and soft aromatic smoke.
Finish: Long and elegant, with oak spice, dried fruit, cocoa and lingering heathery peat smoke.
Finish: A soft and rounded, lingering finish.
