DESCRIPTION

Fernet-Branca is a fernet, a style of Italian amaro (herbal bitter), made by Fratelli Branca in Milan since herbalist Bernardino Branca created it in 1845. It is made to a secret recipe of 27 herbs, roots and spices, including Chinese rhubarb, gentian, chamomile, saffron, myrrh and South African Aloe ferox, and is aged for one year in oak barrels. Expect something drier and far more bitter than most liqueurs, with strong herbal, menthol and liquorice notes. In Italy it is traditionally drunk neat or over ice as a digestif after a meal. In Argentina it is mixed with cola, and bartenders around the world drink it as a shot. It also appears in classic cocktails such as the Hanky Panky and the Toronto. Bottled at 39%. (Bottle size 750ml)
