DESCRIPTION

The Charles Fox Grande Reserve Brut MCC is the flagship Méthode Cap Classique from Charles Fox Cap Classique Wine Estate in Elgin, South Africa. Crafted in the traditional Champagne method from the classic varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, the Grande Reserve is produced using reserve wines to enhance depth and consistency before undergoing extended maturation on the lees to develop complexity, elegance and a fine, persistent mousse. This refined Cap Classique is bottled at 12.5% ABV.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Fresh aromas of pear, green apple and citrus are layered with honeyed raisin, biscotti, freshly baked brioche and subtle toasted almond notes.

Palate: Elegant and finely balanced, with flavours of crisp orchard fruit, lemon zest and stone fruit complemented by creamy mousse, delicate pastry notes and a subtle savoury complexity developed through lees ageing.

Finish: Long, dry and refreshing, with lingering brioche, fresh apple and citrus supported by vibrant acidity and a beautifully persistent mousse.
