DESCRIPTION
A limited edition single grain whisky from the James Sedgwick distillery in Wellington, South Africa, released in 2021 as a travel retail exclusive. Distilled in 1999 and starting life as the standard Bain’s Cape Mountain Whisky before a further ten years in older American oak casks and a final six years in seasoned Amontillado and Manzanilla sherry casks, with only three casks of each sherry type selected. Only 3,920 bottles produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46.8%. (Bottle size 1 litre)
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Sticky toffee pudding, Turkish apricots, sultanas, coconut tea biscuits and hints of flower blossom.
Palate: Cinnamon, almonds and hazelnuts with salted caramel and hints of marmalade.
Finish: Rich and lingering, with caramel.
