Smokehead is a heavily-peated single malt from an undisclosed Islay distillery. Matured in ex-Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at 48%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Thick peat, then a fruitier, creamier feel with soft rich oak, soothing custard and vanilla.

Palate: Oily black smoke, with a rich, heavy mouthcoating peaty feel. Then along comes a sweet sticky flavour of barbecued banana, tangy sultanas and dried fruits.

Finish: The peat returns with sherry oakiness and salt.
