DESCRIPTION

A permanent expression from Amrut in India. Made from a combination of Indian barley and Scottish peated barley, each distilled and matured separately in ex-bourbon casks before being married and bottled. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a higher strength of 50%. (Bottle size 750ml)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Red-skinned fruits, especially currants and plum, followed by tropical banana, pineapple, and guava.

Palate: Red fruits again, and some citrus now with more orange. The caramel and vanilla picks up, as do the classic baking spices, especially allspice. Some tongue tingle and a bit of burn.

Finish: Fairly long. Lingering orange and berry sweetness, plus some artificial sweetness, like banana candies.
