DESCRIPTION

A permanent release from the Amrut distillery in Bengaluru, India, first introduced in 2009. The cask strength counterpart to Amrut’s flagship single malt, produced from barley grown in the foothills of the Himalayas and matured in oak casks. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 61.8%. (Bottle size 750ml)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Classic house style with bourbon notes fused with rich barley; reminiscent of caramelised biscuits dunked in coffee. And a bit of spice in the mix.

Taste: Bitter-sweet with the oak and barley integrated nicely. Soft oils and orange citrus; buttery and delicate.

Finish: Dark sugar and cocoa. Long, elegant (yet powerful) with intricate oak.
