More from Scotch Whisky Independent Bottlers
Maclean's Nose is a small-batch, blended Scotch whisky from the team at Ardnamurchan and Adelphi. The release pays homage to their long-established partnership with esteemed whisky writer and industry veteran Charles Maclean and the landmark near the distillery that shares his name. Blended to have a typical west coast character with a high malt content (70%) and a good proportion of ex-sherry casks. The label uses crushed barley paper made from a by-product of whisky production. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%.
Nose: Burnt citrus peel, sea salt, bonfire. Nectarine syrup, lime marmalade, hay bales, coal bunker and oily shed.
Palate: Rice pudding and white chocolate. Bright citrus lime pickle. Chantilly cream and ice cream with Ferrero Rocher. Hessian. Burning heather and smoked praline.
Finish: Long and clean.
