More from Kavalan Taiwanese Whisky
A limited-edition single malt from the Kavalan distillery in Taiwan, released in celebration of their 15th anniversary. Distilled in 2009 (a year that also marks the inaugural launch of the bourbon cask in the Solist Series), matured for 15 years in hand-selected American oak ex-bourbon barrels and bottled in 2024, making this the distillery's oldest whisky to date. Presented in a gift set that includes a gradient coaster and metallic-coloured whisky glass. Only 65 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at a cask strength of 50%. (Bottle size 75oml)
Nose: Honey and syrup dance with roasted almond and stone fruit. Layers of vanilla and buttery undertones follow, accompanied by malt and toasted bread, ending with the charming scent of rose oil.
Palate: Like savouring silky almond tofu, the intense tropical fruit fragrance unfolds. Vanilla ice cream enriches the texture, reminiscent of indulging in a sweet feast of exquisite buttery cake.
Finish: Long finish with lingering vanilla, sweet malt and fruit.
