A limited release from the famous Port Ellen distillery on Islay, which closed in 1983 but reopened in 2024 after extensive renovation. Bottled by Diageo under their Rare Malts Selection range which was released in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Distilled in 1978, matured for 22 years and bottled in October 2000 at a natural cask strength of 60.5%.
