DESCRIPTION

A permanent expression from the Glendalough distillery in County Wicklow. Matured in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in 250-litre hogsheads made from slow-toasted Irish oak, felled in the Wicklow Mountains around the distillery. Bottled at 43%. (Bottle size 750ml)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Sweet and citrussy, with vanilla, caramel, banana and treacle over earthy, herbal oak spice and leather.

Palate: Chewy, warm and buttery, with pot still malt and spices, toffeed pears, treacle, cinnamon, nutmeg and toasted, tannic oak.

Finish: Long, with creamy vanilla, almond, forest fruit and toasted Irish oak.
