Part of Riedel's Performance range, the Cabernet/Merlot glass is perfect for full-bodied, complex red wines that are high in tannin. The generous size of this glass allows the bouquet to develop fully, and smooths out the rough edges. It emphasises the fruit, playing down the bitter qualities of the tannin, and allows wines to achieve balance. Performance is the first Riedel wine glass series to feature bowls with a light optic impact, which not only adds a pleasing visual aspect to the bowl but also increases the inner surface area allowing the wine to open up, highlighting the aroma and subtle nuances.
