Okay
"sweet nose reminds me of fruit drops candy with a slight hint of spice. Very flat on the palate though but could be a great introduction to new whisky drinkers. Verdict : Okay"
The Singleton brand draws its releases from three different single malt producers. This particular one is from the Dufftown Distillery in Speyside, matured for 15 years. Bottled at 43%.
Nose: Slightly spicy feel and drying, overall. Toffee apples and hints of honeycomb balanced by linseed oil and hints of the sea.
Palate: Without water, the flavour is sweet to start then drying in the finish. Warming, light and smooth; tending to delicate. Fresh fruit with spicy top notes.
Finish: Drying. Pears and digestive biscuits, then delicately spiced with notes of aniseed.
Overall rating: 3.0 / 5 from 1 reviews.
