Holden Manz Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 is a limited-production red wine produced from selected estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon parcels at Holden Manz Wine Estate in Franschhoek. The grapes were harvested between 22 March and 5 April 2023, bunch and berry sorted, followed by a seven-day cold soak before natural fermentation. The wine was matured for 22 months in first- and second-fill 225-litre French oak barrels and bottled on 20 February 2025. Production was limited to just 5,000 bottles. 750ml.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Ripe blackcurrant and dark berry fruit with earthy notes, black chai tea, tobacco leaf and subtle roasted coffee and oak.
Palate: Full-bodied and plush, with concentrated black fruit, cassis and earthy Cabernet character supported by fine tannins and integrated French oak.
Finish: Long and generous, with lingering blackcurrant, tobacco, coffee and finely integrated oak spice.
