DESCRIPTION

A single grain release from South Africa's Boplaas distillery, matured for a total of 12 years in a series of different casks. Initially matured for five years in ex-bourbon barrels, it was then transferred to brandy casks for a further five years. Finally, a two year finishing period in South African and Colombian rum barrels. Non‑chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750ml) 

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Vanilla, caramel and toasted oak, with hints of dried fruit and gentle spice.

Palate: Smooth and rounded, showing layers of toffee, vanilla cream and tropical fruit, with subtle dark chocolate and roasted coffee from the rum casks.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering sweetness, soft oak and a gentle mocha-like richness.
