A good dram and for the price
"A good sherry cask finish and well balanced dram with richness and spice notes. It is good for the price, for a NAS whisky"
Launched in 2013 and named after the size of the finishing barrel, Tullibardine 500 is matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in a combination of 500-litre Pedro Ximénez (predominantly) and Oloroso sherry butts. Bottled at 43%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Intense toffee apple notes on the nose with a hint of oatmeal.
Palate: Chocolate, toffee, and cinnamon.
Finish: A viscous spicy feel and sweet dates on the finish.
Overall rating: 3.0 / 5 from 1 reviews.
