The GLENALLACHIE DISTILLERY is an independently owned Speyside distillery established in 1967. Since its acquisition in 2017, the team has transformed what was once a little-known distillery producing primarily for blends into one of Scotch whisky’s most prominent modern single malts. Production was deliberately reduced from four million to one million litres annually to prioritise spirit quality, allowing for a lengthy 160-hour fermentation and meticulous wood management, with a particular leaning towards sherry-cask maturation.

Presented by RONAN CURRIE, Master Distiller and Assistant Blender at GlenAllachie, this masterclass offers the opportunity to taste alongside a key member of the distillery’s whisky-making team. Ronan joined The GlenAllachie in 2019 after working at Springbank and Glengyle distilleries in Campbeltown. His experience across both Campbeltown and Speyside, together with his role in the blending team, gives him first-hand insight into the casks, flavour development and philosophy behind GlenAllachie’s releases.
