A small batch, single malt release from the Teeling folk. Rumoured to contain well-aged whiskeys up to 23 years old and matured in five different wine casks: sherry, port, Madeira, white Burgundy and Cabernet Sauvignon. This particular batch was bottled in June 2016. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%.
Nose: Vibrant with notes of melon, figs, toffee and lemon.
Palate: A balanced mix of dry fruits, citrus, vanilla, spice and cloves.
Finish: Long with sweetness countering the dry tannins from the wood.

"A NAS, certainly a mixed bag of flavours, so Irish ;-) Tasted it after the Poitin (New Make), leading you to a striking impression of the wood influence on this dram. Not the typical "sweet" Irish Whiskey, young, but got a lot of character considering."
