Sourced from 10-year-old bush vines in the Helderberg, Stellenbosch, this Chenin Blanc 2023 reflects the region’s deep granite soils, which naturally limit yields while preserving freshness and structure. Fermented spontaneously to express both site and variety, the wine was matured across three vessels; one-third in local amphora to emphasise acidity and purity, one-third in older 300L French oak for texture, and one-third in new French oak for added weight and structure. This multi-layered approach results in a balanced, site-driven expression. Residual Sugar 4.8g/L. Bottled at 14% (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Expressive and layered, with aromas of ripe melon, yellow apple, and stone fruit lifted by hints of cassis, citrus zest, and a subtle touch of oak spice.

Palate: Juicy and textured, revealing flavours of peach, melon, and ripe pear with a gentle sweetness that adds breadth and tension. The interplay between fruit purity and oak-derived richness brings both depth and energy.

Finish: Long and vibrant, driven by bright acidity that balances the wine’s natural weight. A soft phenolic grip and lingering notes of citrus, stone fruit, and spice create a persistent, well-defined close.
