The high strength version of Smokehead, the single malt from an undisclosed Islay distillery. This looks as if some sherry casks have been used in the maturation - which we greatly approve of! Bottled at a higher strength of 58%.
Nose: Intense peat and smoke, maritime air, porridge oats, vanilla and toffee.
Palate: A burn of hot spirit and your mouth fills with smoke, thick with oiliness then becoming creamy with nuts, brine and citrus.
Finish: A sweetness mixes with slow fading smoke, leaving a salty tang.

"What an outstanding whiskey - the flavours on the nose are remarkable. Intense peat, creamyiness, brine and caramels. The palate is just as unique with an initial burst of smokiness, followed sharp nuttiness, brown sugar and brine and finally finishing with a soothing smoked sweetness. Truly outstanding and sure to get people asking you questions in your bar when it catches their eye. Highly recommended if you are a peat lover!"
