Released in late 2016, this was initially matured in a combination of American and European oak casks between 9 and 12 years, before being finished in first-fill ex-Oloroso sherry casks from Bodegas Lustau for a year. Bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Rich infusion of dark fruits, prunes, dates and figs with liquorice, marzipan, toasted oak and aromatic spices.
Palate: Silky smooth pot still; assertive spices balanced with richness of the sherry finish and contribution of fresh Spanish oak.
Finish: Endless. Sweetness and assorted spices endure while Oloroso sherry and Spanish oak have the last word.

"Redbreast never disappoints and this Lastau shows us what great whiskies the Middleton has to offer. Toasted oak highlights the bright nose of sherry casks. A combination of prunes and figs . This whiskey hits hard on the palate with blazing alcohol-laced pepper spices. Honey sweetness and spice with soaked oak at every step. A very long finish gives the best from a blend of sugar and spice with swells of clove."
