Easy going
"A nice one if you are a newcomer just getting used to a smoky/peaty profile in whisky or for the more experienced drinker who wants something cheap to drink casually when they don't necessarily want to sit down and overthink the dram."
One of the best selling-whiskies in the world, from the best-selling family of Scotch blends. The Black Label is a 12yo, known to incorporate some peated malts into the blend for a smoky profile. Bottled at 43%.
Nose: Rich and tropical dark fruits with hints of sweet vanilla.
Palate: Savour the depth of flavour developed from maturation in oak casks, combined with creamy toffee notes that come from grain whiskies.
Finish: Smooth with warming smoke.

"This is always a safe bet. It does have some decent complexity and offers and introduction to smokiness. Having said that it has become a bit inconsistent in flavour and there seems to be more variation between the bottles we buy. That is not necessarily a bad thing as you may experience a pleasant surprise or not."

"Where my love for Islays started. I would often be gifted bottles of whiskey from jameson to glenfiddich. Great whisky but the amazing full experience from the black label with that slight peaty note always brought me back to the bottle store. I love it."
