DESCRIPTION

A discontinued single grain, Irish whiskey produced at the Cooley distillery. Matured in American oak, ex-bourbon casks. 4,000 bottles were produced. Bottled at 46%.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Soft sweetcorn accompanied by a burst of zesty orange and citrus lemon.

Palate: Sweet butterscotch toffee with rich creamy vanilla.

Finish: Sweetness lingers on the tongue making way to smooth fresh oak.

"This was one of the first single grain whiskies I tried and also one of the first I really enjoyed. It has a very well balanced palate and is such a good, easy drinking whiskey. The nose is filled with zesty citrus notes and a deep sweet oak flavor. The palate is soft with a creamy vanilla and butterscotch ice cream flavor that remains on the palate for a good finish. It is a beautiful whiskey for any type of whiskey drinker and worth buying."
