A limited release 13 year old single malt and the second in Glenmorangie's A Tale Of series. To craft the limited edition expression, director of whisky creation, Dr Bill Lumsden, took a batch of whisky matured in ex-bourbon barrels and finished it in ex-Marsala wine casks from Sicily. Bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Curious and slightly sharp, with the classic Marsala top-note of slightly oxidised fruits. Hints of orange toffee intermingles with a fragrant top note of lavender honey and sweet rose.

Palate: A juicy viscous, but slightly peppery mouthfeel, leads in to a burst of sweet, nutty flavours – coco powder, red pepper, brazil nut toffee and sweet barley malt.

Finish: Sweet demerara sugar and a long lingering spicy aftertaste of clove, ginger and cinnamon.
