"Delicious. Best Glenmo I have had so far."
"I thought I knew Glenmorangie, and specifically the 18yr old. That was before I taste the 14 year old Quinta Ruban! What a star! the orange flavour- so smooth, I went out and bought 3 bottles after the first taste. An unbelievable taste- unbelievable whisky"
"Definitely one of my Glenmorangie favourites. Flavour explosion and so much more compared to the 12yr old version. Sweet, smooth and very easy drinking."
"Amazing port finish whisky from Glenmorangie. On the nose I get liquorice, tangerines, milk chocolate, raisins and quite a distinct rose note (turkish delight). On the palate the citrus comes through strong, lots of wood spice, and chocolate notes. The finish is also long with sweet chocolate and dry spice. The Glenmorangie character does get slightly lost with the port influence, but what it gains is so much more. Awesome end of the night dram."
"As a fan of port cask finished whiskeys, I can say that the Quinta Ruban is delicious. Though I slightly preferred the 12 year version as opposed to the 'recently' updated 14 year, this is still a benchmark for me with regards to port influence on a gorgeous highland whisky"
"This has become my go-to Glenmo, and for very good reason! We nowadays don’t see an abundance of Port Casks being used as opposed to the usual Sherry/ Bourbon, so this works a real tasty treat! It is rich and full bodied with dark fruits, chocolate orange, and soft spice throughout. Velvety smooth as it says on the box. Actually, if I were to describe this Whisky with two words it’d be: liquid velvet. An awesome daily drinker and a great gift for oneself or others at a really good price point. Well done to the highly talented team at Glenmo, who through this dram have once again shown the results of brilliant cask use, and have given us a delicious, easy-drinking delight in the process. Although, why would we expect anything less from them!"
"Good intro to a port finish. I loved the 12 year old version of this whisky and feel that the newer version has less body. It is still silky smooth and easy to drink. I like the slightly spicy finish."
"This is a tricky one for me, because the 12yo Quinta was the whisky I always brought out to get "oooooh"s from my guests as they tasted it for the first time. I'm not sure this is quite that whisky anymore, perhaps because it has more complexity now. With the increased availability of sweet, sherried whiskys the port cask finish remains a welcome, deeper and darker, alternative."
"The 14 year old Quinta Ruban has become one of my favorites and is one of my daily drinks now! Definitely worth it!"
"This is one of the best presentations that I have seen from Glenmorangie. That combined with the port wood maturation really delivers a juicy and lovely dram. I really like the fact that it's different from other Glenmorangie expressions and let's' you experience an interesting and delicious dark chocolate richness which you will be craving time and time again."
