A permanent expression from the Glenfiddich distillery in Speyside, bottled as the 18 Year Old Small Batch Reserve in their core range. Matured in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon barrels and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks, with the sherry-matured component making up roughly 20% of the final whisky. The casks are then married in small batches in Portuguese oak tuns for at least three months before bottling. Bottled at 40%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Distinctive, with ripe orchard fruit, baked apple and robust oak.
Taste: Dried fruit, candied peel and dates, overlaid with oak notes.
Finish: Warming, rewarding and distinguished.
