DESCRIPTION

A single grain permanent expression from the Glendalough distillery in County Wicklow, made from malted barley and corn and first introduced in 2015. Matured in flame-charred American ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in Oloroso casks from Montilla, Spain. Bottled at 42%. (Bottle size 750ml)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Dark fruit like cherry, raisin, fig and Christmas pudding, with floral lemongrass, citrus and a touch of nutmeg.

Palate: Sweet and smooth, with butterscotch, honey, peppercorn, dried fruit, maraschino cherries and brown sugar.

Finish: Ginger spice, a touch of almond and a little earthiness.
