Following acquisition by new parent company Japan-based Kirin Holdings in 2002, and under the leadership of Master Distiller Jim Rutledge, the brand launched Four Roses Single Barrel in the U.S. and Europe in 2004. Although a standard release in certain markets, this is generally not available in SA. Produced from a mashbill of 60% corn, 35% rye and 5% malted barley, and matured for between 7 and 9 years. Bottled at 50%.

Nose: Dried spice, pear, cocoa, vanilla and maple syrup.

Palate: Hints of ripe plum and cherries. A robust, full bodied bourbon that's smooth and well-balanced.

Finish: A delicate, long finish that’s very mellow.

Amongst The Best!

"Without a debt some of the best Bourbon that one can buy nowadays, is four roses single barrel. Consistently brilliant drinking and full of complexity, this is a beautiful bourbon from start to finish."

A staple

"I have been buying Four Roses Single Barrel for a good few years - there is always at least one bottle on my shelf. Have also had a few of the more special single barrels such as the Oregon Bartenders Guild selection. Each a little different, but always superb."

BUSINESS AS USUAL

"When does Four Roses ever disappoint? Beautiful combination of sweet and wood, muted spices always brings me back for more on the nose. Sweet caramel and lovely dough notes, almost crunchy dough like. Definitely one of my top 10 bourbons"

great stuff

"got a chance to try this great guy and i was simply blown away .definately expect the unexpected . lots of authentic spice with hints of caramel and vanilla ad defintely with lots of structure and finesse . soft finish as well at the back of the pallate"

Thabs M. (4/5)

ONE OF THE BEST

"I love Four Roses, especially the single barrel releases. Although each barrel varies in nuance, I am yet to taste one that isn't excellent. It's a more refined style with a subtler nose and balanced sweetness compared to many other bourbons."
