Beautiful
"First admission - I am a confirmed Compass Box fan. I love the brand, and I love the whisky. I ordered these back in July and have not as yet tasted them - that will come. I am also hoping at some point to be able to buy samples of each. As always, great service from WhiskyBrother - these are simply stunning on the shelf - truly amazing packaging and labels. For that alone, they are worth buying!"

Brilliant bottle contents too!
"Having bought a set, a few of us clubbed together and bought a full set of M&L as well as a Rogues' Banquet and sold 13 50ml sets of each. A mail to compass box also ended up with Jill Boyd from Compass Box hosting a brilliant online tasting for us. Having these one by one in the same line-up, with detailed insights on each shared by one of the firms whisky makers was truly fantastic. Jill Boyd is without doubt one of the finest ambassadors I have ever had the privilege to share space with, not only can she talk Compass Box, but she has no issues talking about other brands and whiskies too. A rarity and a real gem. M&L 1 blends two malts from Balblair, different ages but same casks. The idea being that you can have two very different whiskies from the same distillery. This shines through in this one, that Balblair delicacy is there, but to me is bigger than expected and oh so good. Nose: plenty of orchard fruit, apples, some vanilla notes, lovely malty notes. Palate: More orchard fruit, some all spice, those malt tones again and a wonderful creaminess. Finish: On the dry side, again creamy vanilla, slight waxiness for me too. M&L 2 blends two malts from Glen Elgin, different ages but also different casks and finishes. The idea being that you can have two very different whiskies from the same distillery, but perhaps playing with the idea that provenance is real. A new distillery for me so no real reference points. Nose: Spice, toffee, malt - maybe some fruit, but mainly spicy toffee for me. Palate: More of that toffee, spice again, drying oaky/malt notes. Finish: Spicy, more toffee/vanilla/caramel, hint of fruit notes (papaya perhaps). M&L 3 blends parcels of the same two malts from Glen Elgin as used in M&L 2, along with peated whiskies from Highland Park and Caol Ila. The idea here being to dispel the myth that some whiskies are too special or rare to blend. Nose: Caramel, bananas, some floral notes and some smoke - Caol Ila present and accounted for. Palate: Papaya again, confusing for me, woody/ashy notes, but much more fruit and the like than I was expecting. Finish: Spice, cape gooseberries, hints of smoke - nice and long. All amazing and all who tasted them on the night had different favourites. For me, M&L 3 - but in their own right these are all superb!"

Aesthetically pleasing
"I am a fan of Compass Box, with their amazing label designs and revelotionary blends. I look forward to tasting these whiskies at the WhiskyBrother Bar but for now my bottles remain works of art in my home."

Beautiful Design and Packaging
"When it comes to Whisky, the bottling, branding and packaging are part of your experience. Compass Box has the most beautifully intricate designed bottles. They're a show stopper and everyone asks about this trio in our whisky bar. The labels are printed with rich colour, pressed with gold/silver foil and embossed. I love this brand - Compass Box: tastes, looks, feels and smells beautiful."
