Originally released in 2010, Bunnahabhain 18yo is a small-batch single malt from the distillery on Islay. Matured predominantly in ex-sherry casks. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46.3%.
Nose: Fragrant with notes of dried fruit, rich honeyed nuts, toffee and slight hints of spice.
Palate: Notes of mellow sherried nuts, dried fruit and rich oak, with toffee and a slight tang of salt from its maturation of 18yrs at the coast.
Finish: A dry fruit finish with a hint of spice and salt.

"Citrus, vanilla, caramel, coffee are available in abundance on the nose and taste. You would normally expect smoke on an Islay but the Bunna has none. But it doesn't disappoint with a rich and long taste and finish. If you like your whiskies big and flavoursome then give the Bunna 18 a try."

"Sherry and a stubbed out cigar or tobacco is what you get on the nose and some buttered popcorn. Herbs on the palate with loads of brine and some sticky barbecue sauce. Finishing of on some lime and salted honey. Very pleasant dram indeed."

"The 18yo hits a delicious sweet spot with proportions of sherry and bourbon casks. Enough sherry to add richness but not too much as to overpower the bourbon cask sweetness. Well-worth trying!"

"Probably my favourite dram in the range - the 18 Year is perfectly balanced between sweet, spice (and salitness) Sherry cask brings a gentle sweetness and oak spice. Absolutely loved this dram - I would drink it inside in a library/lounge with great company - and in no rush"
