DESCRIPTION
A limited edition single grain from the Boplaas distillery in Calitzdorp in the Klein Karoo, released in 2026 as the distillery's oldest whisky to date. Distilled from South African yellow maize in a column still and matured for 15 years in Buffalo Trace and Wild Turkey ex-bourbon casks. Only 530 bottles produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750ml)
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Vanilla, toasted oak and caramel, then ripe yellow fruit, honey, coconut and baking spice. Butterscotch and roasted nuts emerge with time.
Palate: Vanilla fudge, caramel and ripe stone fruit mingle with toasted oak, cinnamon and gentle baking spices. The extended maturation adds depth and complexity, balancing rich sweetness with beautifully integrated oak.
Finish: Long and warming, with lingering vanilla, caramel, oak spice and dried fruit. A gentle sweetness remains alongside a satisfying, warming finish.
