DESCRIPTION

A permanent expression from Ballantine's, the blended Scotch brand founded by George Ballantine in Edinburgh in 1827. First released in 2020 as the 7 Bourbon Finish, it has since been renamed American Barrel. Matured for 7 years exclusively in American oak barrels. The age statement pays homage to George Ballantine, who was selling seven-year-old whisky as early as 1872. Bottled at 40%. (Bottle size 750ml)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Red toffee apple, warm golden honey and vanilla.

Palate: Ripe pear and red apple with creamy caramel and gentle vanilla sweetness.

Finish: Long and sweet, with lingering fruit, caramel and soft oak.
