A limited release from Bain's, produced at the James Sedgwick Distillery in Wellington, Western Cape. This whisky began its life as the standard Bain's but then underwent further maturation in wood, totalling 7 years, before being aged for 3 months in a "sonic cellar" at the distillery. The music of South African artist Tellaman was played into the barrels, which would cause the maturing whisky inside to constantly move and interact with the wood. A total of 6,000 bottles were produced. Bottled at 48.6%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Floral, banana, honey, toasted hazelnuts and toffee aromas unravel with wood, vanilla and spice.

Palate: Vanilla, cocoa butter and light spices from the casks lead to a warm mouthfeel.

Finish: A long and exceptionally smooth finish.

Symphony .... an appropriate name

"Aptly named Symphony! Truly a symphony of taste that one expects in a far more expensive whisky! Get a few of these while they're available at this price!"

William B. (4/5)

Great whisky

"Classic Bain's nose that we all love,Sweet honey and vanilla. Creamy and full on the palate with decicated coconut. Closing with a sweet lingering finish."

Val (5/5)

Great Value

"Buy in 6s, you'll regret it when they are sold out. Only negative thing I can say is the gimmicky story is unnecessary. The whisky itself is brilliant and punches above its weight. Very creamy and buttery, I picked up a slight hint of coconut. Needless to say the bottle was finished too quickly and we needed more!"

Kudzai (4/5)

Buttery and sweet

"What's not to love? More cask influence, slightly higher ABV, limited edition and only for a small price premium compared to the standard release! Stock up people, if you aren't buying multiple bottles you are going to regret it."
