As of 2015 this 24yo replaced the discontinued 22yo (which was sadly never available in SA). Matured in a combination of Spanish oak ex-sherry casks and American oak ex-bourbon barrels. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%.

Nose: Aromatic with fruits (baked apple, grapefruit, orange marmalade) and honey with a soft sherry influence in the form of toffee and fruit cake spiciness.

Palate: Vanilla custard, raisins and toffee with malt, candied orange and a hint of popcorn. Quite some citrus again, along with toasted, almost smoky oak and leather.

Finish: Medium long, with honey, pepper, raisins and a hint of cake.

Densely sweet and spicy

"I couldnt argue with my nose when I straight away picked up some sweet and spicy flavours and something that reminded me of my late grandmother"s sunday lunch christmas cake for dessert(may her soul rest in peace). Aged, sherry perfection

"It's hard to find drams like these nowadays... well-aged, with quality sherry casks. So warming and rich with plenty of complexity and balance sherry spice. More well-known brands would be charging at least 2x for this, and it probably wouldn't be as good! Get it while you can."

"Among many whiskies available for sale, this is definitely one that stands out above the rest. It is much loved by many many new and seasoned whisky drinkers. It is a Sherry bomb packed with flavor from nose to finish, mellowed out for 24 years. It is in my opinion a great value for money whisky and should be on every whisky lover's shelf!"
