Named for the year that Kentucky became a state of the USA, this small batch bourbon is produced by the Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky using a higher rye component in the mashbill. The whiskey's name once included the wording "Ridgemont Reserve" but the name has been dropped since the packaging update. Bottled at 46.85%.

Nose: Creamy aromas of creme brulee, fruit cake, peppercorns, floral honey and buttercream.

Palate: Supple and creamy praline, fruit and maple fudge. Warming and complex.

Finish: Robust and sweet with peppery spices and a mineral element.

Rich and full of flavour

"i Just love this bourbon. Forget others try this with a decent amount of rye in its mashbill, giving it that spiciness and buttery. One of those whiskies to have and decent price too"

Great bottle

"This is a remarkable Bourbon, soft on the nose with a typical bourbon aromas caramel, brown sugar, vanilla and sweet corn Very smooth and gentle on the palate with same promises on nose it delivers a fair mouthful of sweetness and spiciness and oakiness The finish is medium with some oak notes and spices all the way through with sweetness"

Smooth with distinct character.

"If you like a smooth bourbon like Jack Daniels Single Barrel, Woodfords Reserve or Woodfords Double Oak, this is the bourbon for you! It is smooth but boasts a unique depth of flavours and character. Well rounded and warm with long finish and just enough spice to make it interesting! Sweet caramel and subtle floral notes. Great value for money!"

A must try.

"I will definitely start by saying it is not your average Bourbon. It has a warm and round palate with a sweet buttery creme brulee and strawberry taste leaving a hint of mint and floral notes on the finish. I think as something a little bit different and well priced it is worth buying a bottle."
