Designed Rough

"This whisky is lightly peated - but it is not peaty in flavour as an Islay whisky. The peat translates more into oiliness, with flavours of cereal, vanilla, spices, and and ever present sweetness. The flavours are strong with a decent finish. This dram is "different" in that it tastes good even though it is a bit rough around the edges - maybe by design?"

Opens Up Nicely

"At first a bit overly astringent, but once it opened up it showed itself to be light and unassuming with Just a touch of peat that's more welcoming than aggressive. Then cereal-sweet, balanced and lingering."
