TASTING NOTES

Nose: Hints of rich dark chocolate with spicy notes of raisins, zesty citrus fruits and vanilla.

Palate: Oranges, toffee, vanilla and leather, all wrapped together with a gentle spice.

Finish: The long lasting finish has a warming spice which is sweet and creamy.

"I have absolutely fallen in love with Speyburn and this bottle perfectly highlights why. This is why I love Whisky! An absolutely perfect, aged core bottling that shines light on the art of Whiskymaking! Rich toffee, caramel, dark fruits, soft spices and spiced fruitcake. This reminds me of a malva pudding with amarula custard, and plum jam, or a waxy creme caramel. In other words, it’s dessert in a glass! As such, it’s incredibly moreish, enjoyable and dangerously drinkable! Superb stuff!"

"The nose on this packs a lot of sweetness, sultana and prune with a touch of molasses. On the palate not as sweet as the nose suggests, some spice and some orange notes with a bit of a lovely dry finish that lingers. A very pleasant dram indeed."

"This is a sit down and take in the moment kind of whisky. It is rich in flavor with both the American and Spanish oak coming through with every sip. The nose is a sweet vanilla and raisin combination and follows through on the palate where a bit of spice breaks the sweetness and leaves you with a long creamy finish. It is a beautiful whisky and worth buying!"
