Launched in celebration of the 151st Open Championship at Royal Liverpool, England, The Open Special Edition of 2023 was created in partnership with Colin Montgomerie, Scottish Professional Golfer and Loch Lomond Whiskies ambassador. A combination of spirits from both Loch Lomond's unique straight neck and more traditional pot stills were selected, matured in American oak casks and finished in Spanish Rioja Alta Reserva red wine casks. Presented in a gift box bearing Colin Montgomerie's signature. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at 46%.
Nose: Floral notes of rose, soft fruits, peach and pear.
Palate: Red berry and orchard fruit. Raspberry and peach, creamy vanilla and dark chocolate.
Finish: Medium length, a touch of smoke gives way to lasting fruit notes.
