DESCRIPTION

A peated single malt release from the Loch Lomond distillery's Island Collection. Inchmoan gets its name from one of the islands on Loch Lomond and is Gaelic for "the island of the peat". Matured for 12 years in a combination of re-charred American oak and refill bourbon American oak casks. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750ml)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Dry, smouldering peat smoke with vanilla syrup and cracked black pepper.

Palate: Sweet, medicinal peat and smoked bacon lead into roasted coffee bean with spice notes of clove and star anise. Warming spiciness combines with green apple and pear as fruit character develops.

Finish: Long, waxy peat with citrus hop note and gooseberry.

Islay-like-peat with pleasant vanilla sweetness

"I love peat in any shape or form - and Inchmoan added another perspective on what that could look like in a Glencairn glass. On the nose: inoffensive medicinal peat, sweet vanilla Palate: meaty smoke, peppery spice and more vanilla sweetness Finish: long, with warming spicy and some vegetal notes A delicious peat option that doesn't get "up your nose" - will not hesitate to buy this again!"

Absolutely Stunning!

"This is so well priced and offers excellent value for money for what you are getting! Such a rich, smooth, viscous mouth feel, along with dry smokiness, maple glazed barbecue meats, and spice, balances so well with caramel and vanilla from those bourbon casks, all see to this Whisky being a 12 year old which offers a complex, classy drinking, softer peat alternative to Islay, while maintaining a uniqueness all unto its own. Absolutely, and superbly flawless! This Whisky deserves a Copita glass, good company, crisp weather, and lots of time- that is if you can keep it in the glass long enough!"
