Rich and full bodied
"When you speak of whisky capital in Scotland Campbeltown comes to mind. This whisky boasts of ginger, lemon & grapefruit peel, and ripe stone fruits add texture. A cedar-wood spice note with a puff of smoke dries the sweetness out a bit toward the finish. A must have in any whisky drinkers collection."

Exceptional!!!
"I very rarely buy a bottle of whisky twice as I like to taste and experience different whiskies, however there are a handful of exceptions to my rule. This is a whisky that I will be be buying for many years to come. It is complex, it has loads of character and it is just great tasting whisky. I almost can’t just relax and sip this whisky as I’m trying to figure out all the nuances it has to offer. Glen Scotia are producing some fantastic whisky and I can’t recommend this bottle enough!"

Yes? Yes. Yes!
"This works so very well. Had it as part of a tasting a while ago and it just - works! Yes the double cask version is amazing but for a few rands more this is just something completely different. I believe the older product is what makes all the difference. And the hint of smoke rounds it off so brilliantly. Heck, even the label makes it look like something else - an experience to be had. Would definitely recommend!"

What a Cracker!
"The Double Cask is currently on special at 2/3 the price of this but it isn't even in the same league. Imagine drizzling grapefruit zest and treacle on top of a chocolate, Woolies pretzel and eating it while walking along a quiet, Winkelspruit beach. OK, maybe that doesn't sound quite so appetising but this is. Worth it!"

Challenging and complex
"An enigma of complex and challenging flavors/aromas - Superb, but not for beginners! Nose: Caramel, treacle (molasses) lemon, Old wood, Slight sea air, lemon rind(zest), toffee, dried fruit, cinnamon Palate: Toffee, molasses, citrus zest, dried fruit, oak, sherry, nutmeg"

Great fruity and floral dram
"This is such a rich and balanced experience. The bourbon casks used in this expression just gives off lovely honey and toffee- like notes with vanilla and fruits. It’s also quite oily with just a touch of smoke to keep it interesting"

Very much impressed
"This is a whisky that has a very distinctive flavour profile which is well balanced and presented in a neat package of smell and taste. However, that does not mean that it is simple or two dimensional. Within that distinct and neat little flavour profile package, you will find a range of nuance and variety of experiences to tantalise your nose and taste buds."

Distinctive, complex flavours
"This is an exceptional whisky that more experienced malt drinkers should really appreciate. Its complex, fusile flavours are unusual, distinctive and enjoyable. Sought this bottling out after seeing a review of it, and was not at all disappointed. Surpasses a lot of other malts at the same price point."
