Uigeadail, pronounced Oog-a-dal, is the loch from which all Ardbeg distillery water flows. This legendary Ardbeg is matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at 54.2%.

Nose: Multifaceted, notes of peat and little flourishes of dark sugar, freshly ground espresso beans, cereal notes and a most sophisticated tar.

Palate: Led by sweet, ripe fruit and black forest honey. A good helping of malt. The throne then usurped by a powerful peat and smoked barley.

Finish: Very long, caramel and malt weave their way through peat smoke and dark sugar and just a hint of fresh espresso coffee before it finally peters out.

10/10

"My current favorite from the distillery and I pray it never changes. Perfectly balanced fruit sweetness, peat aromas and alcohol. Packs a nice punch without being overbearing."

"Simply the best Ardbeg. Guaranteed to be enjoyed by any peat lover"

Number 1 Ardbeg

"I've yet to try an Ardbeg I didn't like, but this one takes the top spot. The rich, dark fruit notes from the sherry influence just go so wonderfully well with the briny, campfire peat that Ardbeg is famous for. The real kicker for me in this whisky is that both the sweet character and the savoury character are both so complex and layered, and yet there is no muddiness or confusion, it is well balanced and packs a real punch."

My Go-to

"Smoked bacon, rich sherry and that wonderful Ardbeg barbecue smoke we know and love, Uigedail provides the most wondrous sensory experience one can get from a Whisky, all the while being an absolute classy drinker. Definitively rich, peaty and wonderful. My favorite core Ardbeg by far."

Peat and sweet!

"Most definitely my favorite among the regular Ardbeg bottlings. Actually, probably one of my favorite bottles in my bar. Go get yourself a bottle now!"

Jacques R. (5/5)

Complex Soot

"This is one of my favourite whiskys – and I’m not a peat lover. It’s smoky and peaty but the peat is very well “integrated” with the rest of this complex whisky. Starts sweet and has a long maritime, sherry finish. My favourite in the Ardbeg range."

The Holy Trinity of Whisky, All Captured In One Bottle

"Peat, sherry cask and (near) cask strength all combine to produce an absolutely stellar whisky. My absolute "go-to" in the core Ardbeg range."

Mark H. (5/5)

Simply the best

"There's always the one bottle that never misses a whisky tasting with the boys. And never mind what there if to offer on the night, we always end up with the Uigeadail. Bold, to the point and peated royalty!"

Pedrie O. (5/5)

A Monster Dram

"Real powerful whisky! The Ardbeg 10 year is a staple of any whisky cabinet but the Uigeadail is a real step up in flavour and impact! Peat and sweetness have always been best friends and this whisky delivers it at cask strength. A must have!"

Ricardo (5/5)

Winning Combo

"Combining peat and sherry seems strange, but it just works! Love this dram, will spring for it if I have an extra few rands."
