Number 1 Ardbeg
"I've yet to try an Ardbeg I didn't like, but this one takes the top spot. The rich, dark fruit notes from the sherry influence just go so wonderfully well with the briny, campfire peat that Ardbeg is famous for. The real kicker for me in this whisky is that both the sweet character and the savoury character are both so complex and layered, and yet there is no muddiness or confusion, it is well balanced and packs a real punch."

Complex Soot
"This is one of my favourite whiskys – and I’m not a peat lover. It’s smoky and peaty but the peat is very well “integrated” with the rest of this complex whisky. Starts sweet and has a long maritime, sherry finish. My favourite in the Ardbeg range."
