A rare and highly sought-after single malt from the Bowmore distillery on Islay. Distilled in the 1970s, matured for 22 years and bottled in the mid-1990s. Presented in a striking blue ceramic decanter adorned with seagulls, a nod to an ancient Celtic myth wherein two lovers, a captured Scottish warrior and the daughter of a Pictish king, were fleeing westwards to Islay. Their boat crashed on the shores of Loch Indaal during a storm and the lovers were never found. A pair of white gulls were seen soaring above the Loch, settling neither on the western nor the eastern shore, as if torn between the two. Legend has it that, to this day, their song echoes at Bowmore distillery before a storm. The Gulls legend is printed inside the lid of the lined presentation case. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at 43%.
