DESCRIPTION

A permanent expression from the Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull, sold under their peated Ledaig name. Made from heavily peated malt (around 35–40ppm) and matured for 10 years in ex-bourbon casks. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46.3%. (Bottle size 750ml)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Sweet briny smokiness with an island character and notes that hint at mild antiseptic, creosote, wax polish, mint chocolate and floral seaside aromas. Soft peat, gentle smoke.

Palate: Sweet, medicinal flavours with enticing sparks of spicy pepper and dried fruit with rich peaty smoke and a vanilla and malty creaminess.

Finish: A union of spicy white pepper, the vibrant sweetness of liquorice and cloves with a lingering saltiness.
