More from Scotch Whiskies 30 Years and Up
An annual release first launched in 2017, the year of celebrations to mark Master Distiller Richard Paterson’s 50th year in the whisky industry. This 2024 edition was matured initially in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels before being divided into two portions for further maturation. The one portion was transferred into 30 year old Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks, and the other into rare Graham’s Port Colheita casks from 1970, before being married back together. Presented in a Baccarat crystal decanter featuring The Dalmore’s Royal Stag emblem, produced by Royal Warrant holder Hamilton & Inches. Bottled at 42%.
Nose: Cherries, plums, sultanas, toffee apple, and vanilla pod.
Palate: Orange peel, chocolate truffles, Old English marmalade, and crushed walnuts.
Finish: Black Forest fruits, poached pear laced with caramel, and dark chocolate.
