The Old & Rare series is a premium range of well-aged, single cask bottlings by Douglas Laing. This single malt from the famous Port Ellen distillery on Islay, which closed in 1983 but reopened in 2024 after extensive renovation, was distilled in December 1979, matured for 29 years and bottled in June 2009 exclusively for World Duty Free. Only 270 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a natural cask strength of 53.2%.
